Character Design Illustration - Forum Post Assingment - Page 2 Empty Sergio Pablos

Post  darasouk1033 Thu Oct 21, 2010 11:39 pm

Sergio Pablos is a vocational animator. At the age of 5, he wanted to become an animator. At the age of 18, he began training at Cal Arts which became the best choice he had ever made because back then, not many schools could be train properly for animation. Like most artists, most characters start out by playing with shapes and creating that character, but with Sergio he states that real designing comes from making judgments on the character’s psychology. And not all designers find it easy to give those characters characteristics.

What keeps him inspired and creative, in his spare time other than books and museums, are avid movies. He learns a lot more from any bad movies than the good ones. His role, in life, seems to fall into the “story teller” category rather than an animator that spends his time brainstorming ideas for projects of his own.
